ABOUT

About TRE

TRE, short for Tension and Trauma Releasing Exercises is a somatic body-based practice developed by trauma expert Dr David Berceli, and is a series of gentle stretches that activate the body’s natural reflexes to process stored tension and trauma using its inmate mechanism of involuntary tremor reflexes. The tremors release deep muscular tension, calm the nervous system and help the body to restore itself.
Unlike many therapies TRE does not require you to discuss or mentally relieve traumatic events.

What People Say:“I’ve found these sessions very helpful and the technique adds another way to deal with my chronic pain and fibromyalgia. Sophie is a great practitioner and guide. I always feel safe and listened to, and she’s always happy to answer questions that I have about anything” Oliver“TRE with Sophie was a deeply relaxing experience and it was great to be able to do something so powerful and effective at processing all I have stored up in the body and not to have to go into all of the head-stuff. I was nervous that the exercises would be strenuous and overwhelming, but the whole thing was actually incredibly relaxing and really helpful to me” Bertie”I have now done multiple TRE sessions with Sophie. The first was a profound experience, unlocking and releasing something inside of me that I had never explored or understood. Not only did it release a long rooted lower back pain but an inner sense of built up stress and pressure that needed releasing. I have since followed this up with group sessions which have brought me further calm and comfort.
I am so grateful to Sophie and the whole TRE practice and will continue to explore and practice this in my life"

WORKSHOPS AND COLLABORATIONS

Falling In Love With Nature

A One Day Nature-Connection Workshop

This outdoor workshop is a guided day of connection, reflection, shared experience and food, held in the beautiful Celtic Rainforest of Trevone Quarry in Cornwall.

Together we run through a rhythm of check-ins, guided group and solo practices, and sharing circles. The day is designed to create space for personal insight, grounding, and a deepened relationship with the natural world, and with one another.Through simple, hands-on shared activity, we explore how connection can reawaken gradually and naturally opening the heart through participation, presence, and shared experience. Alongside this, we take time for stillness, listening, and rediscovering our interconnectedness with the living world.Warm drinks, simple food, and time around the fire at the heart of the day. Participants are asked to come prepared for the outdoors, bringing curiosity, openness, and a willingness to engage both personally and collectively.Enquiries are welcome to discuss bespoke programmes.Morvoren offers workshops and programmes for:• Schools & education settings
